Registered voters of Miami-Dade County should beware of errors with the new voter registration cards sent out recently.
My elderly father, reviewed his new card and, lo and behold, the new card had his birthday wrong. He immediately contacted the elections department and was told he had to complete and return a new registration form, along with a copy of his driver license, in order to be eligible to vote in the August election — and the form had to be received before July 16.
He has been a voter in Miami-Dade County since moving from New York in July 1961. How many other people will be denied a vote because of incorrect information on the new cards? Linda Mullins, Miami
