Tudor House review outdated

Q. I had saved your glowing review so that I would remember to go to Tudor House. The space was pleasing and our waiter was accommodating, but the food was less than memorable. The grouper cheeks were tasteless, overcooked and possibly 1 or 2 ounces total. The short ribs were very tender, but overly sweet. And the Brussels sprouts were nowhere as good as the ones I make at home. Our meal, with two glasses of wine, was $168. That should buy some better food.

I thank you for your clearly sophisticated opinions and am so sorry you had to pay so much for such a mediocre experience. I’m not terribly surprised, however, since my review of Tudor was from nearly a year ago. It is always difficult to predict what will happen once a celebrity chef steps out of the picture. In this case, Geoffrey Zakarian is reportedly feuding with the landlord, and it is no surprise that the restaurant is closing.
