Lennar: Kendall Square grand opening a success

On June 30, crowds of homebuyers gathered for the grand opening of Kendall Square, Lennar’s newest community, which captures the essence of a bygone era with lots of parks, meandering walkways, and homes with old-fashioned front porches, says a company spokesperson. The grand opening also marked the debut of Lennar’s Next Gen – The Home Within a Home.

Lennar’s Next Gen – The Home Within a Home is a whole new concept in living space designed to function as an individual residence with a private kitchen, living area, bath, and a private entrance.

This combination of a “traditional hometown” of yesteryear and today’s state-of-the-art technology, energy efficiency and New Urbanism impressed everyone who attended, says a Lennar spokesperson.

Kendall Square has a wide selection of floor plans offering seven three- and four-bedroom townhomes with garage priced from the low $200,000s, and 10 three-, four- or five-bedroom, single-family home floor plans priced from the upper $200,000s. The unique floor plans are available with a variety of architectural designs such as a loft, studio, or expansive front porches. There are also plans with custom archways, built-in niches and French doors and porte-cocheres.

Whether buyers prefer the French Provincial, Coral Gables or California style with rustic stone facades, the special designs of the homes aligned down linear green islands give Kendall Square a warm, homey feel unlike anything else in the area, says the spokesperson.

“Families are going to enjoy over 30 acres of lakes and green space throughout the neighborhood as well as a community clubhouse with kids playroom, state of the art fitness center, party room, grand infinity style pool, outdoor sitting area with fire pit, kids water play zone, outdoor BBQ area and so much more,” Carlos Gonzalez, president of Lennar’s Southeast Florida Division.

As a Lennar Everything’s Included Home, some of the most popular features and upgrades are included, such as the Nexia Home Intelligence System offering the convenience of remote/keyless access, temperature and lighting control and real-time security camera. Everything can be controlled from anywhere with a smartphone, tablet or computer with Internet access.

To see the almost eight-foot scale model of Kendall Square visit the Lennar Welcome Home Center at Kendall Drive and SW 167th Avenue. From Florida’s Turnpike, exit North Kendall Drive. (SW 88th Street), go west to SW 167th Avenue. For more information, call 305-357-6667 or visit Lennar.com/KendallSquare. Realtor participation is welcome.
