An 18-year-old girl died and four others were injured early Wednesday in a two-car wreck in Kendall, state troopers say.
A Chevrolet Blazer driving south on Southwest 87th Avenue at 52nd Street plowed into the Honda Accord carrying Johana Arias and her family just past 1 a.m. The Accord had just stopped a stop sign and drove into the intersection when the Blazer T-boned the vehicle.
Arias was killed, and her relatives were taken to Kendall Memorial Hospital, said Florida Highway Trooper Joe Sanchez, a spokesman. The injuries to her relatives were not life threatening.
No charges or citations have been filed against any of the drivers as troopers investigate, Sanchez said.
