As a child of Italian parents who landed on Ellis Island, I agree with President Obama’s stance on allowing the children of undocumented immigrants to stay. But what are they going to do with this great opportunity they have been given?

I summer in Key West and have the pleasure of meeting people of different cultures every day. I find it amazing that a 5 year old from a European country can speak English so much better than a person of Latin descent who has been in this country for years. In South Florida, English has become the third language behind Spanish and Creole.
