The heat in South Florida, while not as intense as other parts of the country, will likely send us into the water or in front of the AC vents.

“Brace yourself,” National Weather Service forecaster Kim Brabander said Tuesday. “It’s going to be a hot one.”

Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-90s, with that 100-degree feeling.

South Florida’s only hope of refreshment will be the sea breeze, making its way in from the east coast.

The weather pattern will likely stay through Wednesday, the Fourth of July, forecasters say.

There is a slight chance of thunderstorms. Partly cloudy conditions are expected on Tuesday night, with winds increasing up to 11 mph.

Independence Day will be just as hot as Tuesday, but the chance of thunderstorms will increase to 30 percent thanks to a passing weak tropical wave.

Storm chances around 20 and 30 percent are expected for the rest of the week, with temperatures keeping steady in the high-80s and low-90s during the day and high-70s at night.
