Three men are in police custody after beating a man early Friday morning in Cutler Bay.
A call was made to police around 3:43 a.m. that a white male was beaten by three men at an Exxon gas station located at 20361 Old Cutler Road.
The victim was airlifted to Kendall Regional Hospital, said Aida Fina-Milian, a Miami-Dade police spokeswoman. The man, who whose name was not released, is in stable condition.
Charges are pending against the three men in custody, whose names also were not released.
The IRS has imposed hundreds of millions of dollars in tax liens against the Miccosukee Indian Tribe and its members for failing to pay taxes on shared profits from their West Miami-Dade casino.
Aliya Moktadier, Kasia Williams, Jayson Plasencia, Ashley Sierra and Hunter Alvarez of Coral Reef Senior High School were selected to participate in the summer agroecology internship hosted by Florida International University.
Ronald Poppo, 66, is in good health and spirits despite being blind and having cut off contact with family members, his caregivers said.
