You don’t have to love cheese to eat at The Cheese Course, but it helps. Every sandwich and salad comes with the stuff, firm and fresh or gooey and grilled.
Surrounded by cheese rounds, jarred jams and sauces in the franchise’s new Pinecrest location, it’s easy to pretend you’re in the Napa Valley, not the Suniland Shopping Center.
Order at the walk-up counter. For the ultimate BLT, go for the Applewood Bacon sandwich, with goat Gouda, tomatoes, avocado, rosemary aioli and greens inside a crusty French baguette (white or whole wheat).
The Albacore White Tuna Melt, with Gruyere, shredded carrots, olive oil, mayo and green, is classic comfort on a rainy day. The Spanish Field Greens salad is a refreshing dose of Mediterranean sunshine, with manchego, orange slices, red onions, black olives and honey-tarragon vinaigrette.
There’s also quiche, soup of the day and cheese courses (choose from 150 varieties) for one or two. For dessert, check out the treats of the day in the dessert case.
