Miami-Dade police are investigating the homicide of a prominent club promoter in Palmetto Bay.
Police confirmed Frederick “Keith” Duberry, 44, was shot and killed Saturday in his driveway at 17531 SW 92nd Ave.
Duberry owned several marketing-based businesses in South Florida, including Batman & Robin Marketing Group, Magic City Production and Miami Spring Bling College Fest, although state business records show he had dissolved those particular businesses.
Neighbor Richie Roberts, who lives a few houses down from the scene, said he heard three gunshots around 2:30 a.m. He heard three more shots after a brief pause.
“My dogs were going crazy,” Roberts said. “I didn’t know what was going on. I ran out in the middle of the driveway.”
Roberts said he saw a group of men jump into a blue Taurus and drive off. Police said Duberry was dead in the driveway when they arrived.
