The last day of school: Have your friends sign your yearbook, say goodbye to teachers and the coach. Hug your friends, promise to stay in touch.
Not my 13-year-old granddaughter. She was home, not able to go to school that day. She’s an average student, cute, funny. But another 13-year-old girl hit her in the jaw and bloodied her nose last week in the hall. All because of “she said, she said” and ugly words and stuff on Facebook.
A gang was waiting to finish the job on the last day. So she stayed home.
