More information

Simmons is the ex wife of mogul Russell Simmons. Good thing she didn’t change her name again.

Kimora Lee Simmons looked happy this past weekend in Miami launching her new skincare line, but what fans may not have known is that her marriage to Amistad actor Djimon Hounsou is in trouble. Rumor was the couple broke up over financial matters, but the New York Daily News is reporting that Hounsou was not faithful. His alleged mistress: Kola Boof, the Sudanese-Egyptian author of Diary of a Lost Girl, who claims to have had an affair with Osama bin Laden.

“I am not in love with Djimon Hounsou & he is not in love with me,” she wrote in an email to the paper. “The only reason I had sex with him was to get revenge on Kimora.” Boof said Simmons was not sympathetic when she was being treated for brain cancer in 2008. The torrid affair is over now.

The News adds that the Hollywood couple, parents of a son, 3, were never legally married.
