The annual Redland Summer Festival will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Fruit and Spice Park, 24801 SW 187th Ave in Redland.
The Fruit and Spice Park hosts over 500 varieties of fruits, vegetables, spices, herbs, and nuts.
For the past eight years the festival has showcased local agriculture and tropical fruits, and will have vendor booths featuring local wines, food, and samples of rare fruits. Events include a watermelon-eating competition, a tour through the park’s exotic plantings, and children’s activities such as a petting zoo and pony rides. There also will be a large display of fruits and vegetables available for sale.
Admission is $8 for adults; children 11 and younger get in for free.
