Coconut Creek officers called to a crash scene Monday found one of the people in the crash had been shot, police said.

The crash happened shortly after 5:20 a.m. in the 5000 block of Hillsboro Boulevard. The wounded person was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said.

Coconut Creek spokesman James Moser said late Sunday that no additional information was available.
