In a terse, unsigned form letter, HCA advised a family member getting chemotherapy treatment for stage 3 cancer (and, we presume, all other cancer patients of the service), that the service is terminating in less than one month.
This decision leaves patients twisting in the wind, without any alternatives and requiring we start a hasty search for a replacement service to complete treatment. The most that’s offered is a set of medical records, provided the request procedure is followed, after which she’s on her own.
And to think on their website they claim “Aventura Hospital and Medical Center is pleased to offer patients and their families award-winning inpatient and outpatient quality care and services.”
