Friday afternoon, the Miami Dolphins signed fourth-round pick Lamar Miller, one of the two University of Miami players the Dolphins drafted in April.

Miller, a running back at UM, likely will be used all over the place in the all-purpose manner current Dolphins running back Reggie Bush was used by New Orleans early in his career.

The four-year deal for Miller puts six of the Dolphins’ nine draft picks under contract. Still to be signed are first-round quarterback Ryan Tannehill; third-round defensive end Olivier Vernon from UM; and Missouri tight end Michael Egnew, also taken in the third round.
