Archbishop Thomas Wenksi and the religion he represents have lost the moral authority to speak on what would be in the best interest of our nation’s people ( Devaluing marriage, March 26, Other Views).

The church is currently involved in a financial scandal shaking the foundation of the Vatican. For too long, they have shielded their own from the law when the children they were to protect were being abused by the priests they ordained on every continent. When a rapist was exposed they simply moved him.

We must all question their motives regarding gay marriage, and if the church should be allowed to guide us? The threat of gay marriage is far less than the damage already inflicted by the church in the name of Jesus.
