Van with huge wheels runs over compact car at Redneck Yacht Club

A driver was arrested after being accused of running over and crushing a car with his van at the Redneck Yacht Club in Southwest Florida.

The arrest happened over the weekend at the Charlotte County off-road park during Swamp Cabbage Weekend.

According to a report in the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, while the driver of a 1994 Toyota Corolla went driving with friends through mud pits during the event, a van with five-foot wheels ran over her vehicle several times.

“The owner doesn’t care. You can do it,” the crowd chanted, according to reports.

And apparently, the van did. The front tire smashed the hood, backed off, then drove to the other side and smashed it again before the van drove over the entire car several times.

The driver was identified as Norman Le Nowling, 40, of Fort Myers. He was charged with criminal mischief and posted $2,500 bail.
