icordle@MiamiHerald.com

The Launch Pad at the University of Miami, headed by Susan Amat, will host the first Startup America Summit this week, bringing together Startup America regional leaders and top entrepreneurs from 23 states.

The summit will feature a series of networking, mentoring and information sharing sessions, including a session in which more than 50 Florida start-ups wil be able to receive mentoring and advice.

The Startup America Partnership was launched at the White House in response to President Obama’s call to celebrate, inspire, and accelerate high‐growth entrepreneurship throughout the nation. The partnership is chaired by AOL co‐founder Steve Case.
