Heico reports higher earnings

 

Heico Corp., based in Hollywood and Miami, reported increased profits for the quarter ending Jan. 31 on Wednesday.

Net sales for the quarter increased 22 percent to $212.6 million, with net income up 12 percent to just over $19 million. Operating income increased to $37.6 million, an increase of 16 percent.

The company manufactures replacement parts for airplanes as well as components for the space, defense, communications, medical and computer industries. Executives said they expect growth in fiscal 2012 of 10-12 percent in profits compared to the previous year.
