Police were in the 8700 block of Forest Hills Boulevard in Coral Springs Sunday night searching for a suspect in a Port St. Lucie homicide.

The homicide happened Saturday night.

Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers reported that Aleksandr Gorbach, 43, was shot in the chest while in his kitchen, in a home in the 700 block of Southeast Portage Avenue in Port St. Lucie.

Gorbach's wife and children were home at the time, Scripps Treasure Coast reported, but police spokesman Officer Tom Nichols told the publication that the case did not appear to involve domestic violence.
