A burglar broke into a residence in the 13300 block of Southwest 62nd Avenue between 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Feb. 9 and stole an 18-karat gold necklace, a gold watch, a gold and ruby ring, a laptop computer, a piggy bank filled with change and a silver Magnum revolver, all valued at $9,238.

PINECREST

A burglar broke into a car parked at a park between 11 and 11:30 a.m. Feb. 9 while the car’s owner was using the restroom in the 8200 block of Southwest 124th Street and stole a purse and jewelry valued at more than $2,500.

COCONUT GROVE

A thief broke into a residence in the 3500 block of Frow Avenue some time before 2 p.m. Jan. 19 and stole a refrigerator.

A computer and a phone were stolen from a hotel room in the 2600 block of South Bayshore Drive during the early morning hours of Jan. 20.

A burglar broke into a residence in the 3200 block of Bird Avenue between 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Jan. 20.

CORAL GABLES AREA

A burglar broke into a building in the 4400 block of Southwest Eighth Street between 6 p.m. Jan. 20 and 8:30 a.m. Jan. 23.

SOUTH MIAMI

A thief stole a red beanie cap, a silver Schwinn mountain bike and flip flops from an Urban Outfitters store in the 5700 block of Southwest 72nd Street at 3:50 p.m. Feb. 13.

A thief stole used the identity and personal information of a resident who lives in the 6200 block of Southwest 60th Street to file a fraudulent tax return between Feb. 3 and Feb. 8.

A thief stole a silver racing bike valued at $1,000 from outside a Panera Bread in the 5700 block of Southwest 72nd Street at 10:55 a.m. Feb. 10.

CORAL GABLES

A thief broke into a residence in the 400 block of Daroco Avenue and stole $500 in cash and an optical lens worth $800 between 7:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Feb. 2.

A thief stole a bicycle that was secured to a bike rack in a parking garage located in the 4400 block of Ponce de Leon Boulevard between 8:35 a.m. and 1:10 p.m. Feb. 2. The stolen item was valued at $650.

A vandal smashed a rear tail light, dented the spoiler and smashed the rear window of a 2008 Toyota Scion parked in the 1700 block of Galiano Street between 9:30 a.m. and 10:45 p.m. Feb. 2.

A thief stole an 18-pack of Heineken beer from a 7-Eleven convenience store in the 3900 block of Southwest Eighth Street just past noon Feb. 2.

A thief stole a Dell laptop computer and textbooks, all valued at $360, from a car parked in the 500 block of Gondoliere Avenue between 10 p.m. Feb. 2 and 7:30 a.m. Feb. 3.

CUTLER BAY

A thief stole the four wheels and tailgate of a truck parked outside of a home in the 19000 block of Southwest 92nd Road between 1:30 and 9 a.m. Feb. 11. The stolen items were valued at $2,600.
