St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church will be hosting its annual three-day arts festival starting this Saturday through Monday, Feb. 20.

The church festival, as in previous years, will coincide with the much larger Coconut Grove Arts Festival.

The Coconut Grove church’s 24th Annual "Art is in the Heart" Festival will feature works from over 140 artists from across the country.

The fair takes place from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. at 2750 McFarlane Rd. Adult entry is $2; children under 12 are admitted free of charge.

In addition to the artwork in display, there will be music, food, a children’s play area and an authentic English tea room.

On Thursday at 6:30 pm, St. Stephen’s will unveil this year’s show poster by award-winning local artist and photographer Carlos Cuba, titled “Pathway to Paradise”. According to Daisy Salazar, the director of the art show, this marks the first time that a photograph has been selected. It is also the first time the Coconut Grove artist has won the honor.

“ I am extremely honored and thrilled to be chosen as this year’s show poster,” said Cuba in a press release.

The art show has helped to fund the church’s outreach programs in the Grove and Greater Miami areas, such as the St. Stephen’s AIDS Ministry. According to Salazar, a quarter of the funds for the programs are raised during the art show.
