Re the Jan. 28 Other Views column, Storage units are a true sign of our times:
Yet again it seems Joe Cardona has stolen a page from my diary. Many friends, and I find ourselves displaced and downsized for the first time in our lives. It’s almost a comeuppance for the attitude of the “me generation,” even though my group has done all the right things: gotten an education, built careers, had children, paid bills and saved.
I fear for my college-going daughter’s generation. They really don’t have a clue.
Quiet desperation is a constant companion for many of us. Restful sleep? Never heard of it.
