Improve our lives

 

Having read the Jan 29 article Legislators push again to restrict abortions, my organization, National Council of Jewish Women, is concerned that our elected officials continue to introduce legislation aimed at limiting a woman’s reproductive health choices and access to comprehensive medical care, which includes lifesaving breast exams and cancer screening.

Our state has many problems, and elected officials were sent to Tallahassee to improve our lives, not to legislate their personal morality.

Ten bills have been introduced aimed at restricting women’s choices. We urge our elected officials to rethink their priorities and put a halt to the continued assault on women’s health and reproductive rights.

    Re the May 22 letter The goal: more water conservation: You cannot tell existing homeowners to limit water-sprinkler use while building more homes, each having showers, dishwashers, sprinklers, etc.
