I take exception to the Jan. 30 letter Wildlife holocaust. The writer refers to various birds that will be killed by wind turbines as a “holocaust.” I resent her using that word, which should only be used in referring to the six million Jews who were systematically killed by Adolf Hitler and the Nazis during World War II. The broadening of this word to refer to other serious problems disrespects the memory of my grandparents, Herbert and Ida Karger, who were among those killed by the Nazis during the Holocaust.
