Aviation workers plan strike in France next week

hsampson@MiamiHerald.com

Travelers heading to France next week should prepare for some disruption.

Aviation unions in France have voted to strike Monday through Thursday, though AFP reported that the potential impact is unknown because unions have not given details of their plans.

Air France said it expects to operate more than 85% of long-haul flights on Monday and more than 80% of medium-haul flights. The airline said it will work to adjust its flight schedule depending on how many employees participate in the strike.

Passengers were asked to provide their contact information on www.airfrance.us for updates. The airline said travelers planning trips between Monday and Thursday would be allowed to change or delay their plans without penalty.
