All services for dogs and cats have resumed at the Miami-Dade County animal shelter, which closed in early January because of a distemper outbreak that killed 51 dogs. Cats were not affected, and dog adoptions resumed Jan. 13.
Now, dogs can brought in for clinic services like spay/neuter, vaccination and ID microchipping. The shelter will again accept owner “surrendered’’ dogs and strays.
The shelter is located at 7401 NW 74th St., Medley. See photographs and profiles of adoptable pets www.petharbor.com.
