Capitol Buzz: Redistricting and Medicaid take center stage

Herald/Times Tallahassee Bureau

After a whirlwind of a week, members of the Florida Senate return home to their districts on Friday while the House gets to work on the nitty gritty of mapmaking. Here’s what we’re watching:

•  Redistricting — The House Redistricting Committee schedules a marathon 7-hour meeting to workshop its three proposals for redrawing state House seats and its three proposals for congressional seats.

•  Medicaid — The Long-term Care Managed Care Technical Advisory Workgroup conducts a hearing on moving elder care into managed-care plans as part of the state’s Medicaid reform.
