Passports, computer stolen from car in North Dade

A thief broke into a 2003 Chevy and took passports worth $100 and a laptop computer valued at $1,300 in the 6200 block of Northwest 170th Terrace between 8 and 8:30 p.m. Jan. 6.

A black 2006 Ford F350 was stolen from a parking lot in the 18200 block of Northwest 73rd Avenue between 10 p.m. Jan. 5 and 8 a.m. Jan. 6.

MIAMI LAKES

A 2008 Diamond Cargo trailer valued at $5,650 was stolen from the 15500 block of Northwest 67th Avenue between 5 p.m. Dec. 26 and 6 p.m. Jan. 3.

A thief unlocked a Ford Taurus parked at the intersection of Northwest 142nd Street and 58th Avenue and took an Apple iPhone worth $200 and a purse worth $70 between 3:15 and 3:30 p.m. Jan. 8.

A thief smashed the driver’s side window of a Nissan Altima and took an Apple iPhone worth $200, a purse worth $50, and $20 in cash from the 16500 block of Northwest 87th Avenue between 4:30 and 6 p.m. Jan. 7. Damage was estimated at $200.

A thief stole a pair of sunglasses valued at $400, a PlayStation 3 game console valued at $150, and an Apple iPod valued at $200 from a residence in the 15100 block of Northwest 89th Place between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Dec. 14.

MIAMI GARDENS

A thief stole a blue 2008 Toyota Camry that was parked in the 7500 block of Northwest 188th Street between 8 p.m. Jan. 1 and 6 a.m. Jan. 2. Police eventually recovered the vehicle, but the tag and decal have not been found. The stolen items are valued at $60.

A thief stole a white 2006 Chevy Express from a driveway in the 4500 block of Northwest 185th Street between 10:45 and 11:45 p.m. Jan. 2. The vehicle was valued at $6,000.

A red 2010 Hyundai Accent was stolen from the 3300 block of Northwest 193rd Street between 9 p.m. Jan. 2 and 8:15 a.m. Jan. 3. The vehicle has since been recovered by police.

COUNTRY LAKE PARK AREA

A thief broke into a 2007 Toyota and took a radio and speakers valued at $600 and sunglasses valued at $300 in the 18600 block of Northwest 87th Avenue between 10:30 p.m. Jan. 6 and 11:30 a.m. Jan. 7. Damage to the rubber seal of a window was estimated at $250.

PALM SPRINGS NORTH AREA

A thief broke into a 2008 Nissan and took a GPS unit valued at $200 and $150 in cash in the 8800 block of Northwest 185th Street between 10 p.m. Jan. 7 and 9 a.m. Jan. 8.

ACADIA PARK AREA

A thief broke into a 2000 International Cab and took a skill saw valued at $1,500 and a drill valued at $207 in the 20600 block of Northwest 47th Avenue about 4 p.m. Jan. 4. Damage was estimated at $50.

OPA-LOCKA

A thief stole a car radio, passenger door key holder and a 1998 red Ford Expedition from the 100 block of Oriental Boulevard Dec. 30. The stolen property was valued at $600.
