The University of Miami is offering free advertising and creative services to South Florida nonprofits during the Third Annual PhilADthropy event Feb. 17 at the University of Miami School of Communication.
During PhilAdthropy, School of Communication advertising and public relations students, guided by faculty members, work with local nonprofits to develop and deliver advertising and other promotional materials.
Their services will be offered during a 25-hour marathon work session beginning at 11 a.m. Feb. 17 and ending at noon Feb. 18. Final projects will be unveiled during a reception for the organizations and their representatives at the end of the 25th hour.
Last year, students helped more than a dozen nonprofits. Projects included the creation of an ad campaign for Food for the Poor and a viral video to attract donors for the nonprofit, 600 Million Stray Dogs Need You.
Nonprofits should apply at http://www.philadthropy.com/. The deadline to apply is Jan. 27.
