Driver trapped under her car for nine hours

A driver opening the front gate of her home became pinned under her car for nine hours after her SUV rolled onto her foot and she fell.

Elisa McLaughlin, 70, screamed for help while she was trapped in front of her rural home in Indian River County, according to a report by TCPalm.com.

No one heard her yelling, with both of her legs trapped by the left tire of her Toyota. The overnight temperature dipped into the mid-40s during the night of Jan. 5, according to the report.

A neighbor found McLaughlin just after 8 the next morning.

The neighbor jacked up the car and freed McLaughlin, who was treated at a local hospital for her injuries and exhaustion.
