A woman stole credit cards and $600 from a man about 3:50 a.m. Jan. 4 in the 900 block of Washington Avenue. When the victim realized he had been robbed, he chased the thief. The thief picked up a brick and ran after the victim. She struck the victim with the brick and he fell. Police arrested her soon after.

MIAMI BEACH

A thief stole a Cadillac Seville shortly after midnight Jan. 4 from a home in the 6000 block of North Bay Road.

A thief stole two wallets, one containing credit cards and $40 in cash and the other containing credit cards and $200 in cash, about 2:38 a.m. Jan. 4 in the 1400 block of Collins Avenue. The thief was later apprehended.

A thief stole an Audemars Piguet watch with diamonds valued at $20,000 and a white-gold chain valued at $5,000 about 5 a.m. Jan. 4 in the 1300 block of Washington Avenue.

A woman tried to steal money from a man who had just withdrawn the cash from an ATM about 6:30 a.m. Jan. 4 in the 900 block of Washington Avenue. The thief used pepper spray on the victim, but the victim managed to escape.

NORTH MIAMI

A burglar broke into a home and ransacked a bedroom and the living room between 1:15 and 1:30 a.m. Dec. 19 in the 700 block of Northeast 144th Street.

A thief stole a purse containing $380 and a driver’s license between 2 and 2:30 p.m. Dec. 19 in the 13500 block of Northwest Seventh Avenue.

A thief stole a wallet containing a driver’s license, a Social Security card, an ID and $50 in cash about 11 a.m. Dec. 19 in the 800 block of Northeast 125th Street.

A burglar broke into a home, causing $150 worth of damage, but did not take anything. The incident happened about 5:15 a.m. Dec. 19 in the 1300 block of Northeast 127th Street.

SURFSIDE

A thief stole five potted plants between 8 a.m. Dec. 13 and 8 a.m. Dec. 14 from a home in the 400 block of 88th Street.

NORTH MIAMI BEACH

A thief stole a purse containing an Argentine passport and credit cards about noon Dec. 8 at a business in the 500 block of Northeast 167th Street.

A thief stole a purse containing credit and debit cards, Social Security cards and a driver’s license about 11:20 a.m. Dec. 8 at a business in the 1900 block of Northeast 167th Street.
