hsampson@MiamiHerald.com

After a summer of sailings to Bermuda, Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest ship will visit Florida, the Bahamas and the Caribbean during its inaugural winter season.

Norwegian Breakaway, scheduled for delivery in April 2013, will sail from New York City year-round. The Miami-based cruise operator announced the winter and spring itinerary this week.

Between Oct. 13, 2013 and April 27, 2014, the 4,000-passenger ship will sail two 12-day Southern Caribbean cruises and 25 weeklong cruises to the Bahamas and Florida, including stops in Nassau, the cruise line’s private island in the Bahamas and Port Canaveral.

The cruises are on sale now.
