I have tried several times to contact our senator, but to no avail.
Why am I forced to pay for flood insurance every year when there is virtually no chance of flooding where I live?
I have lived here 17 years, and my street has never flooded. We watched Vermont, upstate New York and cities in several states flood this year with many residents living on rivers, lakes and other waterways losing their homes. Yet most of them said they didn’t have flood insurance. Why not?
Why do I have to have it, with little chance of flooding, when these poor people, living close by to flood areas, were not forced to have it?
Can anyone answer this? Our senators won’t.
