Model Lauren Scruggs loses eye

The model and fashion blogger who walked into a plane propeller last week is dealing with more health battles. Surgeons at Dallas’ Parkland Hospital removed Lauren Scruggs’ left eye, which was injured in the horrific accident, which occurred after a sightseeing trip. She also lost her left hand. But doctors say her progress is going “unbelievably well.’’

Her mother is concerned about her daughter getting her appetite back, though she mentioned the 23-year-old is eating her favorite foods: hard boiled eggs and sweet potatoes. Lauren, 23, was walking the hallways oon after the accident and was able to lift her eyebrows. This is a good sign, said her dad, because docs were worried about her facial nerves.
