Celebs, they’re just as cash strapped as normal folks. Take music producer Jermaine Dupri. TMZ reports that Premier Financial Services filed legal documents in Georgia Superior Court, saying Dupri financed the $300,000 white 2005 Lamborghini Murcielago in 2006 and agreed to make 58 monthly payments of $4,323. But when Dupri stopped paying in 2009, PFS repossessed the car, selling it for $115,000. Now they’re suing him for the losses.
Sell this house is right! At least Chris Tucker is getting back in financial shape. The Rush Hour star just completed a successful short sale of his five bedroom waterfront home in Lake County, near Orlando. He owed $4.4M but the bank accepted $2M (ouchie: it was worth $6M). Bad news: The comedian still owes the IRS $11.5 million in back taxes.
In related news: Troubled ex CSI: Miami star Gary Dourdan’s Venice, Calif., home is being foreclosed upon. The actor defaulted on his mortgage after he missed a payment due on July 1, according to court documents. Dourdan reportedly owes $61,558.90; he bought the house in 2004 for $922,000.
