New name for Holiday Isle

When Islamorada’s iconic Holiday Isle (www.holidayisle.com) relaunches after its 10.6 million renovation in December, it will have a new (and longer!) name: Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina at Holiday Isle.

It is the second in the new Postcard brand; the original, The Postcard Inn at St. Pete Beach, has been lauded as one of the best affordable beachfront hotesl by MSNBC. The brand evokes nostalgic American beach vacations with modern touches. Restaurants will include the first Shula Burger, along with its famed bars, Rumrunners and the World Famous Tiki Bar. The resort remains open during renovations.

Previously slated for a demolition and replacement with a luxury resort, Holiday Isle went into foreclosure during the real estate boom. It was acquired by Starwood Capital in 2009.
