All westbound lanes on Commercial Boulevard in Tamarac have re-opened to traffic Wednesday morning after a crash the night before led authorities to shut the street.

A Traffic Homicide Unit was summoned to “gather evidence and determine the circumstances that led to the crash,” said Dani Moschella, spokeswoman for Broward Sheriff’s Office.

At about 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, a pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck in the area of Northwest 94th Avenue and Commercial Boulevard. She was badly injured.

Rescue crews took her to Broward General Medical Center.

More information has not been released.

The sheriff’s office asks anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call 954-765-4321.
