1 dead, 2 injured in Bird Road car crashes in Miami-Dade

A person died after two crashes involving four cars on Bird Road in South Miami-Dade Thursday night.

According to reports one woman died and two were injured during the two crashes.

The driver of a sports utility vehicle traveling eastbound on Bird Road hit two cars at 137th Street, failed to stop, and then got in another crash in the westbound lanes after crossing the median, WSVN-7 reported.

Three people were transported to Kendall Regional Medical Center, but only two of them survived the injuries, WSVN-7 reported.
