Pelicans treated in Miami ready to head back to the Gulf

  • 45 baby Pelicans from Louisiana, that were covered in oil from the BP oil spill in the Gulf waters, are ready to return home to Hammond, Louisiana early Thursday morning August 5th, 2010. The baby Brown Pelicans were raised at the Pelican Harbor Seabird Station by Wendy Fox and her team of bird experts and also by older and more experienced pelicans that acted as role models for the young seabirds from Louisiana.
