Gina Marie loads her customized van with her anti-bullying messages, her dog and the tic tacs and then drives to the town hosting a mixed martial arts event.
That's what she does and what she loves, and she is spending quality time in South Florida as Strikeforce MMA has a show 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30 at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise.
Marie and some of the MMA fighters visited local schools to spread the word and slogan: ``Bullying...We're Kickin' It!''
Marie travels throughout the country by van in a united campaign to help end bullying in schools and encourage positive behavior among youth.
She has plenty of passion in her heart and quite a few Ferrero confections and tic tacs in her possession to give away. When the show is over, she returns home and starts preparing for the next trip to another city hosting MMA.
Kickin' It is a non-profit organization. Visit werekickinit.com.
TNA Wrestling star and amateur wrestling standout Bobby Lashley, former NFL star Herschel Walker, Superstar Nick Diaz and Strikeforce 145-pound women's champ Cris Cyborg will compete MMA on Saturday, Jan. 30 at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise.
The Strikeforce event starts 7:30 p.m., and it will be broadcast live 10 p.m. EST on cable channel Showtime. Tickets are on sale at the box office, TicketMaster outlets or call 800-745-3000.
