Florida's unemployment rate ticked up again last month, rising a tenth of a point to 11.2 percent, the state labor department said Friday.
It was the highest rate since June 1975.
Miami-Dade's rate was 11.4 percent, up four-tenths of a point, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The government doesn't calculate seasonally adjusted rates for other Florida counties, making month-to-month comparisons hard to interpret. But unadjusted rates were as follows:
Broward: 9.7 percent.
Monroe: 7 percent.
Palm Beach: 11.4 percent.
