A man was shot dead and another was wounded early Friday morning when someone opened fire on their car, police said.

The men were driving a white Chevrolet SUV north on Northeast Second Avenue near 10th Street about 6:30 a.m.

A car pulled up next to the SUV and someone in the car started shooting, said Officer Jeff Giordano, a Miami police spokesman.

"We don't know a motive. Road rage is a possibility," said Giordano.

Police were looking for a blue Malibu as a vehicle of interest in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
