This community news network is a partnership of The Miami Herald and several local publications, websites and independent journalists. Its mission is to offer more news and information about South Florida's communities, create a place to discuss the news and issues you care about, and provide advertisers a way to reach the customers in their own neighborhoods.

By joining forces with our partners -- all of whom are listed below -- we can multiply the number of reporters, editors, sales representatives who cover your area. We can pool our resources to create a website that lets you quickly scan the news, see what your neighbors have to say about it, submit your own news and opinion, share it with your friends and family. Your community section will contain news stories, photos and blogs from many sources, all about your neighborhood. Some of us will still publish our traditional newspapers or websites, but by sharing our stories and photos here, you can get everything in one place.

We hope you'll visit your community section daily. If there is not yet a partner covering your neighborhood, and you are a publisher or journalist who could do the job -- or can recommend a potential partner -- let us know. Our vision is to have trained eyes and ears in every neighborhood, reporting on what is important to you with the same professional and passionate dedication shared by The Miami Herald and all our partners.
