CELEBRITY ROUNDUP

Crawford, Gerber: extortion victims

A German man was charged with trying to extort $100,000 from Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber over a photo of their daughter bound to a chair and gagged, authorities said.

Edis Kayalar, 26, has not yet been arrested. He was recently deported to Germany.

The photo was purportedly taken by the couple's former nanny earlier this year and shows the girl, then 7, tied to a chair. Kaia told her parents that the nanny took the picture as part of a ``cops and robbers'' game, according to an affidavit.

The nanny, who was fired a week before Kayalar called the couple, was not charged; apparently, Kayalar stole the photo from her.

Gerber -- who owns the Whiskey Blue bar at the W Fort Lauderdale among other hot spots -- eventually paid Kayalar $1,000 ``for his trouble,'' the affidavit said. But the German wanted more, saying he had another copy.

MORE HEALTH ISSUES

T-Boz really needs some TLC. The singer (born Tionne Watkins) has swine flu.

``I never felt like I was going to die, but I was really concerned that I couldn't breathe,'' the TLC member told Life & Style. The flu is running its course and she should be OK.

The 39-year-old was diagnosed with sickle-cell anemia at age 28, and underwent brain surgery two years ago for a noncancerous tumor.

PAY UP!

Eddie Cibrian may be regretting hooking up with LeAnn Rimes after all. This divorce is going to cost him through his (perfect) nose.

His estranged wife, Brandi Glanville, is seeking serious spousal support. TMZ.com reports that the mother of his two sons has filed documents in L.A. County Superior Court claiming that the CSI star earns $60,000 a week but is only paying for her household bills.

Glanville wants approximately $40,000 a month.

BOOK FAIR NOTES

MASH star Mike Farrell, who was set to speak about his book, Of Mule and Man, at the Miami Book Fair on Saturday, is unable to attend due to family issues.

Evan Rundle has gone from truant teen to rock star.

The son of Miami-Dade state attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle has had various brushes with the law -- to put it nicely -- in the past few years.

But the 25-year-old seems to be straightening out now. The kid has reinvented himself as the lead singer and piano man for the band The Reprieve. They'll be hitting the music stage 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Miami Book Fair, confirms fair spokeswoman Lisa Palley.

The boys will play their brand of upbeat, instrumental pop songs such as Valentine and Music Box, which sound a little like '80s faves Squeeze. Check out some tunes yourself at www.myspace.com/evanrundle or go to the event, at Miami Dade College, 300 NE Second Ave. The stage is at the food court on Second Avenue, across from Building 1. General admission of $8 gets you in.
