STAR BEAUTY
What's that smell? It's called fame
Celebrity fragrances are nothing new, but now it seems like everybody's coming out with one -- even Oscar winners (see Reese Witherspoon). Here's a sniff:
Sarah Jessica Parker: If you liked the Sex and the City's star Lovely and Covet, then safe to say you'll probably want her SJP NYC by Coty. Parker calls the fruity floral blend a ``party in a bottle.'' Guess who her influence was? ``A large part of the inspiration was . . . people's impressions of seeing Carrie Bradshaw walk down the street and what feelings that evokes for her and for them -- a real sense of freedom and possibilities, a love for the city around her and, of course, fashion.''
Demi Moore: All You've Ever Wanted is a mouthful to say, but nice on the nose, with hints of magnolia and cedar. Press materials call the Helena Rubenstein eau de parfum an ``irresistible and feminine potion.'' We're sure Ashton approved it personally.
Reese Witherspoon: Of her new Avon perfume, In Bloom, the 33-year-old says she wanted it to recall her childhood in Tennessee. ``A lot of it is white flowers and gardenias and things that I grew up in the backyard loving. Things that I smelled on my mother and my grandmother that really inspired a feeling of being back home.''
Fergie: Look out for the Black Eyed Peas singer to launch a signature scent, also by Avon, in the fall of next year. We're sure it'll, well, rock. ``I'm always seeking out new ways to express myself, and fragrance is the perfect opportunity to share my originality and confidence with my fans,'' she said.
