Response to Internet, interview
BY SCOTT FISHMAN

With all the recent Internet posts concerning my story on Lacey Adkisson and for the sake of my reputation, I wanted to survey the situation and then respond.
I contacted Adkisson to request an interview with her for a story, and she kindly accepted. During the duration of the question and answer session, the third generation Von Erich discussed a number of topics including her family, her background and her decision to enter the business.
The much talked about comments she made about former Total Nonstop Action Wrestling Knockout Angelina Love caught me off guard.
Readers decided to draw their own conclusions.
The day after the story ran, I got a phone call from Adkisson and gave her the opportunity to address what she said in the interview. Then, respecting the wishes of her employer TNA to hold off, the below comments didn't run.
I feel in order to be fair and with the Internet ramblings, it is important to include them in this.
``Some things were said in character and in casual conversation about Angelina Love,''Adkisson said. ``I know that she is missed at TNA. I am grateful to get the opportunity to be with The Beautiful People and hope to be as great as Angelina was. I wish her all the best.''
I realize a portion of the story, which was not the focus of the story, upset the parties involved. Still, I want to make one thing clear. Everything written in the article that ran was transcribed from her comments by what she said -- in character or not.
Contrary to what has been suggested, in no way did I misconstrue, twist or present any rumors. I had no reason or intention of directly tarnishing anyone's name. I have been a fan of pro wrestling for much of my life and have written numerous articles the past six years.
I pride myself on presenting balanced, factual and accurate content.
