DCOTA showrooms open to public

To celebrate National Kitchen & Bath Month, select showrooms in the Design Center of the Americas will open to the public Saturday.

The DCOTA, which usually does not allow members of the public who aren't accompanied by a designer, will focus on entertaining, kitchens, outdoor living and bath and spa.

Consumers will be able to get tips on home entertainment systems, floral design and fragrance, entertaining at home, and upgrading bars, baths and kitchens. There also will be a food and wine tasting with local chefs for $15.

The event will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the DCOTA, 1855 Griffin Rd., Dania Beach. Information: 954-920-7997. Parking is $3 but admission -- other than the food and wine tasting -- is free.
