Though new American plays remain a rarity on Broadway, two notable ones will be turning up this season. Tracy Letts follows his heavy, Pulitzer Prize-winning August: Osage County with the lighter Superior Donuts. And the brilliant, ever-provocative Sarah Ruhl lands on Broadway with In the Next Room (or the vibrator play), a script whose title says it all.
