  • Dr.Cindy Bunin-Nurik was 17 in 1969 and living in Long Island when she drove to Woodstock with her boyfriend in a station wagon with a huge peace sign painted on the hood. They lasted a day. MARICE COHN BAND / MIAMI HERALD STAFF

  • Bob Del Pozo and three friends from Westchester drove to upstate New York in a Volkswagon Beetle during the summer of 1969 to attend the Woodstock festival. MARICE COHN BAND / MIAMI HERALD STAFF

  • Herb Summers was part of an art crew hired from the University of Miami to work on a variety of projects in the months before the original Woodstock festival in 1969. During the festival he worked as backstage security. MARICE COHN BAND / MIAMI HERALD STAFF

  • Sheena Spirit appeared in the <em>Woodstock</em> movie, dancing on the stage to Santana, whom she had meet a few days before at the Fillmore East in New York City.
